Former Minister and Ex MLA Sat Sharma (CA) along with Corporator Sunita Gupta started works for construction of Deep Drain in Ward 37 , Janipur near Saugaat Chowk. The works will be done at an estimated cost of Rupees 50 lakhs under the supervision of the PWD department. Mandal President Raveesh Mengi was also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that to provide a neat and clean environment is the motive of Narendra Modi led Central Government and every area of Jammu and Kashmir where there was a requirement of channelizing drains with deep drains is done by the Government so that cleanliness could prevail in every nook and corner of the UT.
He stated that the deep drain from Vegetable Market (Saugaat Chowk) upto Main Nullah Basant Nagar will be constructed in a proper way so that in rainy season, water from drains do not gather on lanes or roads and further it won't enter into the houses of locals which earlier created problematic situations for them and ultimately built a chaos type circumstance for the inhabitants.
Sunita thanked the Former MLA for starting a long pending work and stated that this work will have an impact on thousands of inhabitants of the ward who have also appreciated the pro active approach of Former MLA. She also stated that there are many more works which have been started in the ward and many other works will also be taken up in coming days.
Sahil Gupta, Manohar Babbar, Ramesh Bittu, Kulbir Singh, Rakesh Gupta, Vicky Sharma, Mukesh Maini, Sahil Anand, Sudesh Gandral, Veeru Verma, Kaka Verma and several others were also present on the occasion.
